All Californians 16+ Now Eligible for COVID-19 Vaccines
One in four Californians already fully vaccinated
Over 24 million vaccine doses administered statewide, 4.9 million doses administered in the hardest hit communities
On April 15, all Californians aged 16 and older became eligible for COVID-19 vaccinations. This expansion of eligibility came as the state reached major milestones in its vaccine rollout: nearly half of all residents in the 16 and older population have already received at least one dose, including 73.9 percent of seniors aged 65 and older.
In a press release shared on April 15, Governor Newsom said, “Today’s vaccine eligibility expansion is a major milestone in our state’s fight against the pandemic and another step on the path to reopening fully in the coming months.” Read more here.
